Do I need a driving licence? +
No! That's the whole point. Kyle Rise First Drive is designed for people aged 13+ who don't yet have a licence. Our instructor handles dual controls and guides you through everything.
What cars do you use? +
We use dual-control cars that are specifically set up for learner drivers. They're modern, well-maintained, and easy to drive — perfect for beginners.
Is it safe? +
Absolutely. Sessions take place in a closed-off car park with no public traffic. A professional instructor with dual controls is in the car at all times. Safety is our number one priority.
What should I wear? +
Comfortable clothing and flat shoes are all you need. Trainers are ideal — avoid high heels, flip-flops, or very thick-soled boots as they can make it harder to feel the pedals.
Can parents/guardians watch? +
Yes! There's a viewing area where family and friends can watch the session. It's a great spectator experience too — especially for proud parents!
What's the minimum age? +
You must be at least 13 years old on the day of your session. There's no upper age limit — adults are welcome too if they fancy a go!
Can I book as a gift? +
Absolutely — it makes a brilliant birthday or Christmas gift! Book online and you'll receive a confirmation with all the details. Gift vouchers are coming soon.
What if the weather is bad? +
Light rain? We carry on — it's great practice for real Scottish driving! In severe weather we'll contact you to reschedule at no extra cost.
